Sweet and Romantic

What a sweet romance story about 2 lifelong friends that were always meant to be together, it just took a while for that to happen. When they finally gave in, the heat and their desire for one another turns way up!

Both Ransom's and Stella's fathers are police officers and Ransom and Stella's brother Nick follow in their footsteps. Ransom has a K-9 unit, and his dog / partner is Rambo whom he is fiercely devoted to.

When Stella is faced with a dangerous hostage situation, Ransom is there and comes to her rescue getting her out of harms way. This event actually finally brings them together when Stella offers to thank him by cooking him dinner. Sparks fly after and chemistry takes over.

Laramie is a new to me author as well as Ariel and Christopher are new to me narrators, but I am definitely going to be following them all as I truly loved and enjoyed this book, and their narration was fantastic!

“S: Being with people is hard, throwing in responsibilities makes it harder. R: But if you care about the person, you make it work. Everything he says is everything I need to hear, but I’m nervous as I type this next message out. Hands are shaking as I lay my fear out there for him. S: You’re not going to regret the decision of us when I’m busy with school and you’re busy with work are you?”

I loved ransom and his narrators voice just added a touch of the cuteness this proud, hot, and swoon worthy cop and dog dad has. Stella also was such a strong, smart, and cute heroine that was not scared to commit to the man and the life he lives as she's had experience with it being a cops dad and sister. Now though these two are starting a relationship theyre gonna try keep on the down low because what would happen if things dont work out for them or worse what if life tears them apart first? The heroine narrator made me feel like she was the right choice for this character as well. I loved this story!
